Terms of Service
Please read these Terms carefully before using the Co Lab Education platform. They set out your rights and obligations, and the conditions of the education grant programme.
Contents
1. Introduction
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Co Lab Education platform, including the website at colabeducation.com, the Lumi AI advisor, the course search and comparison tools, and the education grant programme (collectively, the “Service”).
The Service is operated by Colab Ventures Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 14562831, trading as Co Lab Education. References to “Co Lab”, “we”, “us”, or “our” in these Terms mean Colab Ventures Ltd.
By using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. If you are under 18, you must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian to use the Service.
These Terms were last updated in March 2026 and supersede all previous versions.
2. Service Description
Co Lab Education provides the following services to international students seeking to study at UK universities:
- A searchable database of accredited UK university courses with real-time information on entry requirements, tuition fees, and education grant estimates.
- An AI-powered advisor (Lumi) providing guidance on course selection, university applications, UK visa requirements, and student life.
- Human advisor support for application review, document checking, and communication with university admissions teams.
- An education grant programme under which eligible students receive a cash payment funded by agent commissions paid by Co Lab's university partners.
- Supplementary tools including a living costs calculator, country-specific guides, and comparison features.
All guidance services are provided free of charge to students. Co Lab earns revenue exclusively from commissions paid by its university partners upon student enrolment.
The information provided on the platform, including course details, tuition fees, entry requirements, and grant estimates, is sourced from universities and updated regularly but may not reflect last-minute changes. Always verify critical information directly with the relevant university.
3. Grant Eligibility and Conditions
The Co Lab Education Grant Programme allows eligible students to receive a cash payment derived from the commission paid to Co Lab by a partner university upon enrolment. The following conditions apply:
3.1 Enrolment Requirement
To be eligible for an education grant, you must enrol at a participating university through the Co Lab Education platform. Applications submitted directly to the university without Co Lab acting as the named agent do not qualify for the grant.
3.2 Completion of First Academic Year
You must complete the full first academic year of your enrolled programme to retain the grant in full. If you withdraw before the end of the first academic year, Co Lab reserves the right to recover all or part of the grant paid. The exact recovery terms will be set out in your Grant Confirmation letter.
3.3 Grant Amount
The education grant is calculated as a minimum of 50% of the net commission received by Co Lab from the university for your enrolment. The estimated grant is shown on each course page before you apply. The final grant is confirmed in writing after enrolment. Grant amounts vary by university and programme.
3.4 Payment Timeline
Your grant will be paid within 3 months of the date your enrolment is confirmed by the university and the first tuition payment is recorded. Payment is made by bank transfer to the account you nominate at the time of grant claim.
3.5 Currency and Tax
Grants are paid in British Pounds Sterling (GBP) to a UK or international bank account. Co Lab does not deduct tax from grant payments. You are responsible for understanding and complying with any tax obligations arising from receipt of the grant in your country of residence.
3.6 Grant Forfeiture
Your grant may be forfeited in full if: (a) you enrolled using false or misleading information; (b) you are found to have violated the academic integrity policies of the university; or (c) the university retrospectively cancels its commission payment to Co Lab on grounds related to your conduct.
3.7 Course Transfer
If you transfer to a different course at the same university before completing the first year of your original programme, the grant will be reassessed based on the new programme. You must notify Co Lab before requesting any course transfer to avoid jeopardising your grant entitlement.
4. User Obligations
By using the Service, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information in all communications, applications, and grant claims.
- Not misrepresent your academic qualifications, English language scores, financial circumstances, or any other information relevant to a university application.
- Not use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could harm Co Lab, its university partners, or other users.
- Not attempt to reverse engineer, copy, or exploit any part of the Co Lab platform, including the Lumi AI system.
- Not submit multiple concurrent applications for the same course through Co Lab and other agents simultaneously without disclosing this to Co Lab.
- Notify Co Lab immediately if your circumstances change in a way that affects your eligibility for the grant or your ability to enrol.
- Treat Co Lab advisors, Lumi, and university admissions staff with respect. Abusive or threatening behaviour will result in suspension of your account.
5. Intellectual Property
All content on the Co Lab Education platform — including the course database, grant calculator, design, text, graphics, the Lumi AI system, and software — is the property of Colab Ventures Ltd or its licensors and is protected by UK and international copyright law.
You may use the Service for your personal, non-commercial purposes only. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, publish, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our prior written consent.
6. Disclaimers
The following disclaimers apply to your use of the Service:
Course Information
Course details, tuition fees, entry requirements, and availability are provided by partner universities. Co Lab makes every effort to keep this information current but cannot guarantee its accuracy at all times. Always verify information directly with the university.

Grant Estimates
Grant estimates shown on course pages are indicative and based on current commission agreements. The final grant amount is confirmed in writing after enrolment and may differ from the estimate if commission rates change before your enrolment date.
University Decisions
Co Lab has no control over university admission decisions. We do not guarantee that applying through Co Lab will result in an offer of admission.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Co Lab's total liability to you under or in connection with these Terms shall not exceed the greater of £500 or the value of the grant you have received from Co Lab in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Co Lab reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if:
- You breach any provision of these Terms.
- You provide false information during the application or grant process.
- We are required to do so by law or a court order.
- Co Lab ceases to operate.
You may stop using the Service at any time. If you have a pending grant entitlement, termination of your account does not forfeit that entitlement provided you have met all eligibility conditions.
9. Changes to These Terms
Co Lab may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email (if you are a registered user) and update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, please stop using the Service.
10. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
If you have a complaint or dispute, please contact us first at info@colabeducation.com. We aim to resolve all complaints within 14 working days.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
