Our Grant Guarantee
When you enrol through Co Lab Education, your grant is guaranteed in a legally binding written letter. No conditions beyond completing your first year. No hidden clauses. Governed by UK consumer law.
How we guarantee your grant
Four clear steps from enrolment to payment, backed by written confirmation at each stage.
Written Grant Confirmation
Once you enrol through Co Lab, you receive a written Grant Confirmation letter stating the exact amount you will receive and the payment date. This is a legally binding commitment.
Commission Received from University
The university pays Co Lab the agreed commission upon confirmed enrolment. This triggers the grant payment process. We track the payment internally and notify you.
Transparency Report Issued
You receive a full transparency report showing the total commission paid, the Co Lab retention (operations, advisors, technology), and the exact grant figure. Every line itemised.
Grant Transferred to Your Account
Your education grant is paid by bank transfer to your nominated account within 3 months of confirmed enrolment. No chasing required. You receive a payment confirmation by email.

Questions about the grant guarantee
What if I do not enrol after applying?
The grant is only payable on confirmed enrolment. If your application is unsuccessful or you choose not to take up your offer, no grant is payable. This is because the grant is funded by the commission the university pays Co Lab on enrolment β if there is no enrolment, there is no commission, and no grant.
What if the university does not pay the commission?
In the rare event of a commission dispute with a university, Co Lab will honour the grant commitment from its own funds, provided your enrolment is confirmed and all eligibility conditions are met. We have written this commitment into our Terms of Service.
Is this a loan?
Absolutely not. The education grant is a gift β money transferred to you with no repayment obligation and no conditions beyond completing your first year of study. It is not a bursary from the university, not a scholarship, and not a loan.
What is the maximum grant I can receive?
The grant depends on the programme and university. For most postgraduate courses at Russell Group universities, the grant is between Β£1,400 and Β£2,500. For undergraduate programmes, it is typically Β£800 to Β£1,500. The exact figure is shown on each course page.
Is the grant guaranteed in writing?
Yes. Once you enrol, we issue a Grant Confirmation letter stating the exact amount and payment date. This is a binding written commitment governed by English contract law.
What evidence do I receive of the grant commitment?
You receive: (1) the Grant Estimate shown on the course page before applying; (2) a Grant Confirmation letter after enrolment; (3) a Transparency Report when payment is initiated showing the full commission breakdown; and (4) a payment confirmation email when the transfer completes.
Can I lose my grant after it has been confirmed?
If you withdraw from your course before completing the first academic year, the grant may be partially or fully recovered. This is stated in the Grant Confirmation letter and in our Terms of Service. Completing the full first year protects the full grant amount.
What if I change courses after enrolment?
If you transfer to a different course at the same university, we will reassess the grant based on the new programme. The grant for your original course may be adjusted. Please contact our advisors before requesting a course transfer β we can guide you through the implications.
